If you don't know by now
Then man, you’re a philistine
Waiting in line for the next 7 nights
Big Twenty believes
For the first time in years
That its something integral
Something truly essential
And that’s the reason why
It's packed every night
And the fights sputter out
Before they’ve ever had the time
To get outlandish and grisly
I don’t think I’ll miss them
Now i'm kissing heads and making amends
A synthetic ceasefire
A good 6 hours of peacetime
It’s slow and creeping
But it's all-pervading
A planetary feeling
That I cannot unknot

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
