(Cut out the lumps, flush the fluid through)
I think they’re coming around to the idea
That nothing’s ever going to change
You’ve got to learn to stay in your lane
The sooner that sticks
The sooner we can get a fix
The sooner that we can leave
Man, we’ve got places to be
Clawing out my insides
The sooner we get fixed
Tied up
I think its grinding them down
Nothing but nubs
I don’t think it's worth the concern
Besides, we’ve got money to burn
Blood hits my brain like a hammer to glass
Shards ripping through that slow, dark sludge
That builds up and congeals Monday through Friday
Sticks at the sides and refuses to budge
It's just a holiday, just a little time away

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
